Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very frightening me
(Galileo) Galileo, (Galileo) Galileo, Galileo Figaro magnifico! Once all the confusion and marketing is stripped away, this is fantastic whisky. More than that, this is an exceptionally fine whisky and one of the best Ardbegs I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. Especially for a 12 YEAR OLD! Top 5 whiskys under 12 Ive tasted!

eat and smoke, as expected with an additional over-ripened fruitiness — black plums, red grapes — and solid charred oak presence. Very intriguing nose. Takes on different personas as it opens up. Dark, leafy spice notes arrive late in the mix

Sweet and savory, salty and spicy, yet not overpowering in any of these attributes. Oven-dried seaweed chips with salt, fresh vanilla creme brûlée, hint of pipe tobacco.

With regards to the finish, the burn is outstanding. Worthy of the theme. Long and intense, yet focused and nuanced with additional sweetness and salt propelled by signature Ardbeg smoke.

Very surprising for an Ardbeg.  Peat in the nose, but does not hit you in the face in the taste.  Very nice finish.  I wish Ardbeg would make more of this.  Added more bottles to my collection after initial taste.

C : Straw yellow. N : Peat noticeably different from the common and fascinating Ardbeg peat, less overbearing, less earthy but still quite perceptible; then a fair amount of fruit: ripe banana and tropical fruit, mango and papaya. With the addition of water the lime peel is revealed, it becomes also woody, then we notice a spiciness of green pepper. P : Here the peat hides more and more, but the alcohol content even if not very high (49%) is felt, but without destroying an unusual sweetness of fruit, ripe yellow fruit and tropical fruit. Let's also note some marine side of iodine, adding water, dried seaweed. F : Long persistence and surprisingly delicate, a hint of pipe ash alternates with the idea of candied candies and fresh fruit. The last memory is "peaty" but of a peat that seems different, less overbearing ... Special release released in 2012 we have always heard about with little enthusiasm, wanting to put it mildly; indeed it could seem an exotic dram, a dram in which the peat is not the only subject of the usual monologue (always "boring" incredible eh, we would miss ..!). For those who have only Ardbeg in the head and in the heart we recommend tasting it and above all to check that sometimes from the wonderful distillery you produce some scotch with a range of different smells / flavors. In conclusion, we are going to join the detractors of the Special Release. This to tell the truth was informative.

Ardbeg Galileo 1999/2012 12yo OB 70cl 49% vol. First fill ex-bourbon and ex-Marsala casks finish MHD Would you like to drink this? Ardbeg Galileo! Ardbeg of this kind is hard to come across, so it was actually a happy Ardbeg. Color: barley tea that seems to be soft, I had a feeling that a powerful full body would not be available. After all, is it gambling Ardbeg? Nose: The smell of tap water when the new hotel can not be called new. The accompanying citrus sourness, awesome, there is Ekimi, furthermore, gambling nature premonition of Munmun. Attach: I'm young, but I do not have any energy. Grilled charcoal grilled chicken. Thanks to the feeling of a faint Hyuga summer, it did not feel like a rug. Body: Is this true punch power zero? What? It's almost like that of masterpiece boxing cartoon Miyata Ichiro made the ingredients, it became only bone and skin, and it was rarely made by the opponent Lightness like the second half round. It is not so-called "Dosun" but the punch power of the barely moving hands below the jab like Petit. If it is Blind, I definitely do not know Ardbeg. Well, I do not care much about Blind. With Blind, I do not know if this is nice. Taste: The feeling of citrus when the lemon on chicken soba is now the first. It is not delicious gin tonic. I do not know how likely it seems to get drunk with strange sourness and exasperation? Finish: There is not any Smokey, and this also leaves the feeling that sweetness and sourness like undisciplined white lady seemed too separated, forever knocked out. I thought that it would be over in about 2 lines before drinking, but it was quite enjoyable. https://whisky2010.usukeba.com/1fyhars4tzz2fb.html
