  1. MaltMartin scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

    Complex wheated bourbon whiskey.
    • Nose
Flowery notes. Lavendel. Violets. Later on molasses. Brown Sugar. Some mint.
    • Taste
Silky and smooth. Maple syrup. Vanilla and honey. Sappy oak. But also raisins and bananas
    • Finish
Long and warming. Sweet spices. Cinnamon. Ginger.

  2. LordBellamy scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

great bourbon without the typical rye flavor. Great sweetness, very soft and mild, especially for beginners a good introduction to the Bourbon world. Maybe a bit too mild in the taste, but that is the only weakness in my opinion.

Lots of brown sugar, molasses and caramel, vanilla and neat cinnamon and cardamom, as well as a few cloves, also some toasted wheat bread and very subtle cucumber water. Also some mint and creamy coconut can be found
    • Taste
      83 83
very soft but not flat on arrival, vanilla, brown sugar, maple syrup, ginger, corn, as well as a strong piece of oak
    • Finish
      85 85
short to medium long, some fruit, cinnamon, nut flour, some coffee liqueur / Kalua, nice caramel sweetness, even if it is slightly burned

Less spicy than usual because of the lack of rye in the mix, but that makes this one simply too light. Only the finish was truly worthy.
    • Nose
The nose is soft and sweet on squashed banana, drenched in caramel, brown sugar and loads of cinnamon. Something that reminds me of resin. Buttered toast. Or the crust of a freshly baked bread. But very soft, it must be said. A lightweight.
    • Taste
The arrival is too late to my taste, almost watery. That is a pity. Well seasoned though. And very sweet on cinnamon, sweet corn, brown sugar and vanilla. Honey as well. But again, truth be told, very light.
    • Finish
Only in the finish – which luckily is rather long – does it show its true nature. Spicy and honeysweet.
