Pretty soft whisky, not very heavily peated, some sweet and fruity notes, pretty pleasant dram.
    • Nose
      84 84
Fruity, with a slight peatsmoky touch, some bonfire smoke. Also grassy, hay.
    • Taste
      83 83
Pretty smooth, a little pepper. Some licorice, sweet smoke, some caramel, drying mouthfeel, a little peat.
    • Finish
      84 84
Still a little pickering, sweet smoke, drying, still slightly peated, middle long finish.

On the nose, a light peat, dry hay, iodine and very yellow but not very sensitive fruits, outside the cherry plum!
    • Nose
peat, grassy with dry hay, acidic fruit a little sour candy, spices, then it's smoke that eclipses the land of Scotland.

Tasted as part of the Blind Tasting 2012 of http://www.whisky-distilleries.info
    • Nose
Marine, phenolic, spray ... It is also, I think, very floral / plant, but I can not identify precisely: geranium, green tomatoes?
    • Taste
Earthy peat. It is well done, alcohol is well integrated. The middle of the mouth evolves more on the tar. It's mastered
    • Finish
      Tar, liquorice. Long, powerful

The colour is very light yellow, the nose is clear, soft, with very subtle fruity hints and a fantastic balance of some  nice smoke.

The palate behaves even better and is very good to even excellent. Just an extreme little hint of some peat and smoke. Impressive!

The finish is totally in balance with the nose and the palate, is clear and without any compromise. This whisky is warm and lingering.

For such a young Bowmore(9 years), this whisky is a perfect example of the revival of this  DISTILLERY. A young aged whisky made with experienced knowledge!

Very well done. A young Bowmore who drinks alone, more fruity than average.
    • Nose
very fruity for a young Bowmore, lots of apple, pear, and lemon. Then the expected peat and salt arrive then.
    • Taste
Pretty sweet, creamy. Again we find Bowmore's peat moss in the middle of a fruit basket (apple, orange)
    • Finish
still rather sweet, the peat takes it slightly.
