- That is traditional Macallan - the good stuff. Grab one or two as long as it`s available. Very limited availability. Also recommended for collectors, the value will increase soon, same as all of the previous vintages....
- Balance sheet (22) Pleasant whisky ... not sparred expensive .... (89)
Cherry liqueur ... welding ... dried fruits ... sour oranges ... chocolate ... lacquer and old spices ... oatmeal cookies ... raspberries ... (23)
Spicy ... sweet and sour ... citrus and oak ... tobacco (22)
Finish creamy with oak bitterness .... fruit, salted caramel ... nuts and prunes ... tobacco ... strong welding (22)
- Quite successful. Through the bank, the 18er Macallan are very solid and exciting. At the current price, however, a purchase is out of the question.
Jasmine, fresh linen, honey, red berries, cherry, woodruff, coffee and roasted aromas. Light rusk smell ;-)
Very sweet, slightly sticky, dried fruit, very strong, milk chocolate, coconut
slightly bitter long dry finish. A little oak remains.
- I bought my bottle in July-2013 for 170.- Euro and opened in September-2016 and made it to 0.- Euro.
It was worth it!
A fantastic nose, a wonderful tingling on the tongue, a long venerable finish and much of what is described here by you. (The coolest I find the sheets).
- Tasted blind
