a’bunadh, although it does not reach the same intensity as previous batch in my
humble opinion. I prefer batches 8, 19 and 24 to this one.
The nose reminds me
of oranges that have been drenched in red port. Something of candied figs as
well. Honeysweet with some dark chocolate, cloves and cinnamon.
Sturdy arrival, which
comes as no surprise. Clear sherry influence in the shape of figs and raisins,
orange marmalade and red fruit in a stew. Chocolate reappears, but less
pronounced than on the nose. Nutmeg and a leaf of mint kick in. Pear syrup.
Very intense taste, yet quaffable without water if you take small sips.
The finish is extremely long, spicy and warming, but remains honeysweet.
Of course, I would almost add.
