Whisky Reviews for buair an diabhail of Islay tempt the devil

1 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 88.09 points

  1. Monte Gehro scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

What he does, he does well: young and strong smoker. Not too complex, that should be due to the small age. Some water is good and makes the dram much more pleasant to drink.
The then issue price (€ 45?) Definitely worth, from today's point of view (06/2019) that would be a real bargain.
    • Nose
      85 85
Clear smoke, first greasy, then rather cold and ashen. Some vanilla, pineapple. With water: smoke changes into glowing gum, clear citrus, but less sweet. Muffiger soil.
    • Taste
      85 85
Smoke flavor is less pronounced, between greasy and dry smoke. Vanilla and some exotic fruits.
    • Finish
      84 84
Short to medium, with a mixture of dry smoke, muff and sweet fruit. The alcohol bites on the tongue.
