    • Nose
Color: A beautiful shiny deep gold.

Nose: Wow .... awe ..! Some beeswax, very hidden, behind a fruity offensive. There are rose blossoms, the scent of rose hip blossoms, and above all there is a rich smoky note, oak wood and an old barrel.
    • Taste
Vanilla, directly a very clear and beautiful smoky note. A whole fruit basket with bright fruits that has stood in the smoke for a long time. A little vanilla, a bitter honey, and again and again the smoky note that oak wood fire carries. THAT is old whisky. The 46% appear light and strong at the same time. Velvety soft in the mouth, warming on the way down.

I have to say, this whisky is making me really horny right now. I don't find the Speyburn character I have come across here in any way, but that doesn't matter - it doesn't matter. In the back comes malt, and the thought of sitting in a dusty old library - and eating a couple of juicy mirabelle plums.
    • Finish
Smoke and oak, with a hint of vanilla, have stuck to the palate and won't go away. This malt is "only" 16 years old, but I am sure that if you tried it blindly you would classify it as much older. It is so easy to drink without being agreeable. One of the best Speyburns I've had so far ... I would say the second best, after the ClanCask. Incomparable because it was a sherry case, but still ... just behind.
      Water forbids itself quite logically.

Great obe as usual with those dumpies after almost 40y in the bottle lacking a bit of punch though, found it surprisingly enjoyable

    • Nose
      Colour:
      Bright, shiny gold

      Nose:
There comes immediately a delicate plume of smoke from the glass. The guy smells somehow dusty, old and dry. A slightly musty freshness joins. He smells really old oak drawer of grandma's closet. Vanilla, dry leather and some furniture polish. Has something of overripe kiwi, lemon and herbs. A pleasant, suitable spice and dusty attic again and again. A perfume-like, floral note is still hidden behind it.
    • Taste
But spicy, dry start. This delicate smoky note immediately in the mouth. A nutty bitterness alternates with honey. The fruits are much lighter and fresher in the taste. Lemon, bright currants, green grapes and vanilla board the mouth. Somewhat moldy wood.
    • Finish
Medium. Some smoke, spice and clearly oak. Cocoa and proving honey. Mature, fruity sweetness nestles to it.
