Whisky Reviews for Lagavulin 16-year-old

- The one and only Islay single malt. Smokey, easy to drink and a day to day whisky. For the price, you will never get better.
- Although the oldest standard bottling of the Three of the South Coast, but with a little less character than the Ardbeg Ten, but much more complex than Laphroiag 10. Unfortunately, colored and cool filtered - a real shortcoming and in my eyes a bad habit in times when the trend is towards Genuine originality goes!
After the clear, but not overly dominant smoke I discover peach, vanilla, oak, pickled smoked ham, in the background spicy-sweet fresh opened pipe tobacco, powerful sea flavors
Smoke hardly dominant, feathery sweetness, beautiful fruitiness, licorice, association with creaking oak planks
long, but not as long as comparatively the other two Südküstler. The sweetness evaporates quickly, the smoke sticks for a long time
- Best value for money ever. My favorite dram.
- My love xxx
