Whisky Reviews for Bruichladdich 20-year-old CA
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 83.73 points
- Good dram to drink. Not very complex, but I enjoyed it. Although a whole bottle would be to much for me and i would get bored. Very solid and honest 84 points.
Bright fruits, hints of lavender, tendencies of firework-smoke. After a few minutes: Snoke turns to fresh baked bread. Very convincing nose.
With 3 drops of water: barly, dark-fruit-cake.
Perfectly drinkable in its strength. Nothing burns. Enjoyable sweetness, apples. Not very complex. With 3 drops of water: it gets warmer.
Rather short. Almost no wood at all noticeable. Might seem like a 15y old whisky. Aftertaste of a good warm salty meal. With 3 drops of water: stays shortish
- Odor: apples, pears, local fruit, light smoke
Taste: wonderful after sweet, red apples and pears, fruit acid
Finish: still fruity with a slight bitterness
Verdict: very pleasant drinking whisky, you can not go wrong
