Whisky Reviews for Bunnahabhain 1990 Arc

- This is really a X-mas dram: sweet, warming, cake and chocolate.
- Another excellent choice by the Whiskybase shop team and definitely worth its price. Thanks a lot for the sample.
Wow - this is delicious!!! Warming and fruity at first nosing. Smells like plum in madeira marzipan chocolates. Oranges and high quality oloroso sherry. I also get some red berry jam, kumquat and dark honey aromas. Excellent.
Tastes just as expected for a sherry cask matured Bunna. Dominated by an intensive oloroso sherry aroma. Also some German lebkuchen with a little cherry jam and weak notes of tea. Very good.
Long and sherried, warming from deep inside. More and more tannins are coming up but it remains pleasant.
- Yet another interesting bottling from Archives
First comes soft and pleasant notes of sherry, plums and raisins. Hidden behind the first impression comes vague tones of oak, dates and figs
Enter the mouth with a bitter-sweet taste where the sweetness rather quickly is replaced by a woody taste of oak, bitter almonds, increasing spices and a very very vague touch of peat.
Long and spicy with bitter almonds staying in the mouth also after the spices have faded away
