Whisky Reviews for Ardbeg Ten

- Very decent 10 year old whisky. Stronger and more body than other 10 year old islay whisky. I prefer this one over the Laphroaig 10 43%, Caol Ila 12 43%, Bowmore 12 40% etc.
- The peat lovers will find their account, for sure. Alcohol is present, despite the reduction. That's a good point. On the other hand, I find it very monolithic on vanilla peat.
He's pretty thin, not aggressive. A dry peat and vanilla, a little camphor. Honey, some white fruits.
Vanilla develops, coated with dry peat. Some honey fruits.
Peat dries, accompanied by an astringent woody. A straw smoke appears in the nose. A big shot of pepper mill in the mouth.
- Simply a great Dram!
- Big and powerful peat! Strong character.
Big peat, sweet, malty, some citrus fruits, later some herbs and floral notes. Complex for a ten year old.
Oily and full bodied. Powerful peat smoke, half sweet, half dry.
Straight forward & clean.
Long, peppery, with little peppermint and slightly bitter.
