Unfortunately not a large sample to try but enough to know that this is great whisky.
Not sure how much I would want to pay for this but I do know whisky like this ticks all my boxes.

A nice fruit combo of peach, plum , fresh pineapple mixed with honey but there is some menthol note mixed with wood polish which tells me I may like this one :)
      Fingers crossed
After a few minutes a few orange notes emerge.

Oh yes, its sweet, multi layered and creamy, the fruit is definitely of the sweet variety and stewed for an eternity and it is beautiful.
Lemon sherbet, orange liqueur, a slight medicinal note.
    • Finish
      92 92
The finish is warming , remaining sweet with a faint peat note on the tail but you have to look for it

Tried this head to head with
Glenlochy 1974 27 year SV WB ID 10433
Glenury Royal 1973 SV 31 year WB ID 11038

I hold Glenugie, Glenlochy & Glenury in the same reverence as I do with the best Brora, I love all of them and will never turn a chance down to taste them.

Glenlochy is not as consistent as Glenugie & Glenury but the best from all 3 has many similarities in style, fruitiness and balance.

This was a mini H2H but a very enjoyable one and this is the pecking order but very little in it 91-93 points.

    1 - Glenugie
    2 - Glenlochy
    3 - Glenury

All 3 are awesome with a classic stewed fruit nose, and great balance, the sort of whisky I could drink all day.

There are very few modern whiskies that can get close to matching this sort of profile.

Angus MacRaild just had a sip of this stuff in Rare Batch 57 on scotchwhisky.com stating: „There’s a good reason people fall in love with Glenugie. This is another textbook example of its brilliance.“ [93 Points].
