Aultmore 25/05/1982 - 28/05/2012 30yo Dewar Rattray Individual Cask Bottling 700ml 53.8% vol. Bourbon Hogshead # 2215 172 btls. Three Rivers This is a preeminent Dewar Rattray! What happens to Aultmore at Bourbon Hogshead of Dewar Rattray? What? Aultmore with impeccableness 1982! Color: Anything? Unexpectedly? Woody that predicts a huge Aultmore shimmer of Munmun Nose: It is good to have unexpected atmosphere of Japanese breakfast of spinach and sesame tofu like Po wow mushrooms coming out of sturdiness Attack: Like a greasy barley tea or persimmon that the expiration date has expired, it is a nagato system but the nuance of the egg system is outstanding! Is it Aultmore? Body: Bourbon Hogshead Even though it is not heavy for many years, it is truly Aultmore! But, Aultmore is being swallowed up in Bourbon Hogshead, since it is not a heavy house style in the beginning, maybe it can not be helped? It was a pleasant feeling that "soft woody" actually attacks later ... Taste: It is within acceptable limits, even though the taste of a nasty nut is slightly felt, in dry fruit it is not apricot but pine and Orange nuance, slightly more impressive than pine. With an old barber's age-old smell, it seems that it is covered with some mellow Vanilly and the age-old odor is within tolerance. Although there is "lunchy smell" like a box lunch, it is not uncomfortable, in spite of eating Sakiyan's fried rice bento, I will want to get on the Shinkansen Finish: It is not delicious onion soup of an old restaurant. It is not delicious tea for drinking after receiving.I feel it while comfortable because it is compatible with Bourbon Hogshead? It was strangely comfortable Finish. The smell of Hojicha feeling faintly in return is good in astringent type. They became a valuable cup full of a sense of stability of Dewar Rattray Individual Cask Bottling again. https://whisky2010.usukeba.com/u/whisky2010/1fyharsi9z9dpv

    Color: Yellow gold.

Nose: Peach, all on yellow fruits, some watermelon, also honey, very fruity and fresh with nice oak - no smoke, not alcoholic.

Palate: Starts now on alcohol. Needs some minutes in the glass till the alcohol is flown away. Then getting sweet, a little bit grainy, again honey, spices, bitter lemon.

Finish: Getting slightly more bitter, oaky, not that fruity anymore, medium long.

With water: Even more yellow fruits on the nose, also the palate wins a little and the finish is a little less bitter.

Upshot: Nice expression, good value for money from a "No Hype"-distillery. Better with a few drops of water.
