Whisky Reviews for Auchroisk 1994 GM
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 82.18 points
- fresh, fruity (citrus, apple, pear) whisky, behind even more sweet, spicy notes, such as ginger. Comes over very young. But OK.
Very light, reserved, somewhat closed. Flowery, fresh, subtle fruit notes. Fog.
Light, grassy and malty. Some caraway. Short.
- The Auchroisk has the color of bright gold that is traversed by a stitch of red. The aroma is very complex. There are sweet sherry and honey, but also grain and some oak. In the background ginger is also involved. A great combination. The Auchroisk comes with a lot of volume and a strong onset in the mouth. First, the taste is characterized by a beautiful sweetness. Then there are other impressions like figs and tropical fruits. As in the nose, ginger appears in the background. The finish is a bit dry and leaves salt on the lips.
A very pleasant contemporary. Complex and yet uncomplicated. Delicious!
