Incredibly complex! It starts fruity with notes of oranges, apricots, cranberries and a little raisin. It's turning sweet now with notes of vanilla, honey, caramel and toffees. A hint of old port. Now the spicy notes begin to develop. Cinnamon complemented by nutmeg. At the end I found notes of creamy hazelnuts with a lovely note of very old wood!

Such a creamy mouthfeel! It starts sweet with notes of vanilla, honey and marzipan. Now the creaminess kicks in. Lovely notes of butter and creamy hazelnuts. There is a note of grainy bisquits. Not much fruit on the palate, but I detect a hint of mandarins. Followed by spicy notes of cinnamon and cloves. And yes, fortunately also on the palate very old wood and a hint of a cigar box.

Long! It stays creamy for a long time with note of whipped cream. A bit of honey. A bit spicy like aniseed. A hint of oak and after around 10 minutes there is a great herbal note.

On the nose, sweet spices, fruits (orange-apricot), then wood, a chocolate side!
On the palate, it's rather simple, quite bland considering the years spent in cask, with wood, and a sensation of butter.
In the final, here too disappointment with very (too) few aromas, too little relief, pastry sensation fleeting.

A dram that disappointed me, little depth and reduced final (stale sample?)

A bit disappointing for a whisky in this price segment. It's an elegant whisky but lacks a bit depth for me. The port finish is not my cup of tea, makes it a bit sickly.
