Whisky Reviews for Invergordon 1988 BF

2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 85.55 points

  1. MaltMartin scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

Not the best grain whisky I ever had, but still very enjoyable and complex.
    • Nose
It starts with sweet tones of peaches and apricots. Canned Del Monte bananas. Then fresh pencil shavings (typical for grain whisky's). Marshmellows as well
    • Taste
Oily and waxy. Lots vanilla and honey. Also sweet tropical fruits of lychees and pineapples. Toasted bourbon whiskey style oakiness. Metalic notes at the background.
    • Finish
Long. Lots of pepper and cinnamon. Becomes amazingly salty at the end.

  2. Willie JJ scored this whisky 78 points Expert Senior

Decent enough but not one of the great BF Invergordons.
    • Nose
Light, estery, fruity and spirity. Water gives burnt grain.
    • Taste
A sweet spirity sugar bomb. Water makes it fizz and more water releases burnt popcorn.
    • Finish
Very spirity. Water softens it and gives butter tablet then burnt sugar.
