    Balance is very nice. (24/25)

A well put together whisky, though not the most intriguing, but it is a very easy sipper.
    • Nose
I am having a hard time placing the aromas.  I\'d say wild grasses and a few wild flowers.  With a little bit more air it really comes alive.  Some nice oak notes, an caramel/ butterscotch candy quality to it, and a touch of apples and pears. (22/25)
    • Taste
Nice very sweet, good wood notes, and a lot of candy flavors.  Nice butterscotch profile, and a lot of malt. Not horribly complex but it really works. ( 22/25)
    • Finish
Lots of malted grains, and very sweet hard candies. Quite long. ( 22/25)

  9. Sonett scored this whisky 82 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
Nose comes with sweet vanilla, fruit cocktail, apples and pears
    • Taste
Eners the mouth with a light sherried taste that quickly turns over to peppery spices
    • Finish
Medium long to long finish with fading spices slowly turning to a light taste of bitter almonds

  10. markjedi1 scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

    A nice allround
Speysider, but nothing spectacular. Just under 85 EUR in the Whiskybase Shop.
    • Nose
      The nose is
immediately very sweet. Clear hint of white chocolate. Caramelized white fruit
(like the red coating apples you buy at fancy fairs). Mandarin and lime. Wild
flowers. Mild on the spice front. Indeed, only a minor influence of the sherry
cask on the nose. Hints of mashed patatoes. Light and accessible, despite the
      high ABV.
    • Taste
      Nice and creamy in
the mouth. The mild spices now explode in a handful of pepper and ginger. Again
very sweet on white fruit and mandarins. Apple sauce. Sugared breakfast
cereals. Turns slightly bitter towards the end.
    • Finish
      The finish is long,
but the bitterness comes dangerously close to being over the top.
