    The nose and finish
were rather ordinary, while on the palate this was a pretty good whisky.
    Thanks, Arnout!
    • Nose
      Hmmm, the nose is
weak. Loads of sweet malt and some fruit in the shape of pears, but not much
else. Some vanilla and apple juice. Slightly bitter.
    • Taste
It is a bit oily on
the palate and softly seasoned. This is much better than the nose. Fruity on
apples and oranges, a little bit zesty. Nice hint of woodspice. Beeswax and vanilla. Not bad.
    • Finish
      The finish is rather
short and light. Hint of smoke.

My first Glen Mhor, hopefully not my last. Unlike many modern single malts, watering down to 40% doesn’t take away much complexity of the malt. Very slow legs.

[83-85] I’ll get a bottle unless my bank account says otherwise.

    N 27
A lot of fruits (Oranges, apples, snow pears). Floral, almost perfumy, amid weak comparing to the fruits. A whiff of fizzy apple juice. Antique furniture. A whiff of smoky dusty malt. All very light and delicate.

    P 27
Very well integration between malt, spices, fruits, and oak. Slightly oily. Fresh malt loaf. Barking spices quickly tamed by the fruits. Green apples. A touch of oak bitterness. Smoke is hiding behind the oak and only surfaced after 20 mins.

    F 23
Mid-short, drying oaky finish. A whiff of juicy fruits lingering. Wood spices at the back to end.
