spices, flowers, herbs and mint on the menu!
    soft, silky and velvety too.
    • Nose
vanilla, then caramel a little salty, then light candied fruits on the white fruits, slight camphor trace
    • Taste
dry menthol herbs, vanilla, sweet fruit, creamy caramelized back.
the woody is dry, but gives consistency, back more spicy.

  2. KayMeertens scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

Not as waxy as older Imperials, but furthermore quite typical. Turning more waxy when adding water.
    • Nose
Tangerine, vanilla, honey and sweet & sour sauce.
    • Taste
Orange, honey, apple, hazelnut, coconut, pepper and mint.
    • Finish
      Orange, honey, mint and hazelnut.

  3. Calmar scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

Interesting, funny confectionery mole, well balanced, drink, too sweet.
    • Nose
Herbal, a little citrus - lemon, mandarin; creamy tones and toffee in the background, Thai cured melon, sugar icing, sweet pastry - shortbread, kurab, mannik; vanilla
    • Taste
Sweetness, fruit syrup, red pepper, oak in the background,
    • Finish
Soft ginger burning on a sweet background, carrot juice, light oak bitterness, burnt sugar, fondant.

No crazy complexity, but what a wave of pleasure! I was picked! Enthusiasm 5/5 Whisky n ° 1288
    • Nose
Flowers and coconut the most beautiful effect! Sweet and sensual. Cottony and buttered
    • Taste
Light, fluid, evanescent, velvety. In short: dazzling!
    • Finish
Easy, silky. Sweet spices, vanilla and coconut.

  5. Rom did not rate this whisky Expert Junior

Fresh nose and tingling on honey, a hint of wax, strawberry and a hint of grass. The mouth is fresh too, floral, on beeswax, white flowers. The dilution makes the attack even more fruity and greedy (milk-strawberry). Final of medium length in the aromatic line of the mouth and without astringency. A good daily dram on the freshness and very easy drinkable.

  6. St. Pauli scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

Luscious sweet & sour summer whisky. Perfectly balances. I'ts almost like a tropical cocktail to enjoy on the beach!
    • Nose
Extremely sweet, candied and syrupy. Vanilla cream, sweet pineapple, tinned peach, strawberry and icing sugar. All this sweetness is cooled by a good portion of mint. Later, there sweetness changes to honey, caster sugar, and the pure mint is accompanied by eucalyptus, chamomile and other fragrant herbs. There is some earthy note, on licorice root, but it fits surprisingly well.
    • Taste
Beautifully balanced between sweet and sour, with a right amount of bitterness. The vanilla, cream, icing sugar and lush fruits (even passion fruit!) are there. The sourness seems like the freshness of pineapple and a bit of lemon. The herbs counterbalance the fruit, pepper gives it a pleasant kick.
    • Finish
Quite long, medium-sweet, with a pleasant acidity and bitterness. It has papaya, peach, pineapple, banana custard (with vanilla), chamomile, Moroccan mint tea (including sugar) and pepper.

gold color, very fresh nose with apple, citrus, a little honey, acidulous sweets, a pastry side, little butter. Mouth quite sweet, fruity and tart, fresh, especially green apple, peach, citrus, butter, some spices. Medium length, tangy finish, slightly peppery.

LMDW Notice: Single malt little known because often used in blends, Imperial is a single malt from the Speyside region. Aged 16 years and bottled at a little over 46%, this whisky retains all the character of its youth, but has a relatively mild degree of alcohol. It is classic in style, it is marked by notes of ripe fruit, vanilla, cucumber and mint.
