Of all the variety of Arran releases, I single out for myself two important groups: budgetary wine finishes, missing stars from heaven, but for their moderate price, they provide worthy quality and more interesting and high-quality one-shot releases of which (until everything that I could try was very good) , but for a different price, and between them there is a lot of incomprehensible, from this section and our today's patient. This sample, apparently, is designed to maximally expand the range of releases of the distillery and climb the peat plot, which from the point of view of management is generally understandable. As a result, something out of the ordinary happened, it was not possible to carry a horse and a quivering doe in one cart, as they say, separately, it would have turned out much better, the ingredients are good, especially the bright and juicy wine-flower line, peat and smoke, .
    • Nose
Light, airy, first wine nose - field flowers, white wine, peaches, lemon, light minerality; then manifested smoke and peat - light and moist, peat water, coal. The whole picture does not work, wine and peat do not merge into a single whole, like water and oil.
    • Taste
Again, a mixture of the Arran base with the introduced phenols, here it is already better, something more or less solid begins to emerge, honey-floral notes with a slight mineral flavor alternate with smoky and peaty motifs, peppery wave, coal, charred wood, honey sweetness, toffee - No, still confused and irritated.
    • Finish
Quite empty, light smoke-peat hues against the background of honey-fruit sweetness and cream, not to say that here it was possible to cross Arran with peat, most likely all were exhausted and tired.

A bit less sweet than the 2nd edition, more salty. It scores better than the first two releases, but I actually score it a bit lower.
    • Nose
Peach, peat, salt, orange, malt and wood dust.
    • Taste
Peat, salt, peach, orange and vanilla.
    • Finish
Salt, peach, peat, orange, vanilla sugar and barley.

Interesting presentation and limited, unique tasting, with a faint nose, a faint color, a faint body, a faint finish,

All this weakness for a rare, subtle, balanced and complex initial taste.

Very nice, rare and interesting whisky to have, to taste, and to compare.

First I was disappointed, Now I'm looking forward to find some slightly peated, complex earth&isle alliance. Its nice to put some shades in a collection
    • Nose
      sulfur, peat, faint
    • Taste
Very good, very subtle, but short, medicinal, herbal, organic, dry, sulfured and a hint of salt and peat smoke,

lying on a malty classic bed (excuse my french)

then come the spiciness and the bitterness
    • Finish
short, spiciness and bitterness quickly dying with the memory of a unique and subtle tasting experience.

Prima whisky that is worth the purchase.
    • Nose
Fresh scent where the Bourboncask can distinguish well.
    • Taste
      Peach, pineapple and coconut.
    • Finish
In addition to the peach and pineapple, the peated element also stays well in the mouth / throat. Pretty nice.

The nose is young, green, grain, apple and grape. Mouth powerful and green, bitter. Green final. Bad.
