The extraordinary taste only reveals itself after a few sips.

90 all round for this one.
    • Nose
This is a sweet sherry on the nose, mixed with a load of shoe polish, Turkish Delight and milk chocolate.
After a short while cream and sponge cake with a trace of peat and finally a little black currant jam with a trace of menthol,
      I like it.
    • Taste
Its a fresh one full of spice and citrus with a little lime, pancakes and a touch of caramel.
After a couple of minutes, ginger cake, a few rum notes (strange), menthol that the nose hinted at with a slight vinegar edge but its okay.
    • Finish
Medium length, a little wood creeping in and also getting a little dry but the spice remains which is welcome,

Magnificent, complex Glenturret, a refill hogshead works well too.
    • Nose
Oily. Fruits: pineapple, banana, peach and strawberry. Honey, chocolate and raisin. Cumin.
    • Taste
Powerful. Fruits: peach, pear and tangerine. Orange peel. Matured oak. Spices: pepper, ginger and cinnamon.
    • Finish
      Long, creamy, spicy, fruity.

A special Glenturret. Sweet and Multi-layered.
    • Nose
Fruity sweetness of strawberries and pineapple. Also herbal notes of carraway and cumin. Nettle soup. Grassy notes. Some almond nuts. Very promising.
    • Taste
Juicy and remarkably light in my view. Oranges and tangerines now. Even marmelade. Pineapples and bananas. Light oakiness. Cinnamon. Well balanced.
    • Finish
Quite long. A little pepper. Bitter-sweetness. Slightly metalic at the end.

http://www.weinkenner.de/2013/glenturret-zwei-34-jaehrige-von-the-whisky-agency-und-master-of-malt-27968/ Color: Full gold with light amber
Nose: Amazing tingling in the nose for almost 47%! Overripe fruit, sweet apricot jam, some lemon and orange with a light spice.
Taste: Fruity peach liqueur (vineyard peach), mangoes, bananas and apricots, candle wax, herbs, dried hay and a salty spice complete the taste.
Finish: Long with tenderly salty lemon, white pepper and fruit juices topped with herbs until the end.
    Rating: Great nose!

Most of the time 2 cl is enough for me to assess a dram, in this case I'm quite sure I will buy a bottle to investigate a little more. I love this Glenturret, even though there's definitely a whacky side to it (it's Glenturret after all).
    • Nose
Oily and honeyed. Vanilla. Rich, thick fruit compote (apricot jam, yellow plums, a little banana). Very light dusty notes and soft spices. Even a hint of soot and a few vegetal notes. Quite unique, elegant and really mouth-watering.
    • Taste
Sweeter and fruitier, really impressive. Butter pears, cooked apricot and nectarine. Evolves to slightly tropical (and overripe) fruits: tangerine, mango, mashed banana. Very jammy. It then becomes elegantly waxy with some hay and pepper, but surprisingly low on oak again. Similar to the version of Malts of Scotland, maybe a little more complex. What a great pair of casks!
    • Finish
Long, fruity, with cake notes, a little pepper and some ginger tonic.
