a strong Talisker, great nose, in the mouth but then massive oak, almost a little too much.
    • Nose
great nose, many candied orange peels, of course, subtle peat, a little flowery / herbaceous (heather?), with time also oak, slightly angeodert, a little brackish, a few effervescent tablets.
    • Taste
clear oak, a decent onset, oak bitterness, subtle peat, the orange peel are a bit in the background.
    • Finish
Light peat, some orange, many bitter aromas of the oak and something like essential oils of the bitter orange remain in the mouth for a long time.

  3. ASWhisky scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

    very pleasant to drink
    • Nose
fresh menthol note with peach pieces
      oily wood
      behind it a chocolate note
      Camphor and kelp
    • Taste
      very soft and smooth mouthfeel
      Apricot meat with menthol
      chocolate
      slightly medical grade
sharp, hot smoke is produced on the tongue and throat
    • Finish
      long
      sweet
      a lot of chocolate
      fine barrel flavors
      hot baked apple
      Salt liquorice (salt & malt)

  4. Gloin scored this whisky 88 points Expert Senior

A complex whisky that has many beautiful sides without one dominating another: smoke, sherry, oak. The whole package knows how to convince.
    • Nose
Light smoke mixed with sweet sherry, sweet red fruits, strawberry apples, after the first moment the smell becomes earthier, herbs, the smoke becomes more medicated than at the beginning, the whole is beautifully multi-faceted
    • Taste
A soft mouthfeel immediately follows a gentle but noticeable pepperiness, then fruity notes, but more restrained than in the nose, the smoke is weaker, towards the end the sharpness is accompanied by a gentle sweetness.
    • Finish
Now the smoke is back together with a dominant oak note, coffee, pleasant bitterness, medium length

nice refill sherry and just a bit lack of the personality and power!
No flaws in the sherry notes that I can detect!
    easy one!

Exclusive Bottling for Whisky Fair Limburg, 2012. For legal reasons, the name of the distillery, which lies on the Scottish island of Skye, must not be named on the bottle but, of course, it`s Talisker.

    Tasting Notes by SCOMA :

Aroma: Sherry notes, dry and slightly earthy.

Taste: Soft and supple on the palate, sweet and earthy.

    Finish: Long and warming.

  8. Erik Elixir scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

N: pepper, pastry and breakfast cereals
T: roasted grains, briny and oily
F: smoke, some sherry, floral (forest) and grains
compared with Talisker 10 and Talisker DE2012

    Undisclosed Talisker

  10. SilentStill scored this whisky 86 points Expert Senior

Good drinkable and smoother malt, which definitely pleases. Anyone who expects specifically Talisker may be disappointed. Those who approach this drop neutral can feel joy.
    • Nose
beautiful, very sweet, but not intrusive sherryote, dry and in fact a slight earthiness, as I had expected more
    • Taste
very soft and supple on the palate, just as sweet as in the nose, a bit more soil, but compared to the OA 18yo even tamer and of pepper with the best will (and hope) no trace.
    • Finish
pleasantly warm and not short, but also here really few memories of a Skye Malt.
