  1. MaltMartin scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

Quite powerful whisky for 46% abv. An enjoyable dram. I'm not sure why its called undisclosed, while the lable says it is distilled at Bunnahabhain.
    • Nose
Stewed fruits, dark chocolate and coffee. Notes of sherry. Some smoke at the end.
    • Taste
Smooth. Rich oak. Sweet raisins. Some vanilla and toffee. Light peatiness.
    • Finish
Medium long. Some pepper. Bunna and sherry is always a nice combination.

Was a wonderful drop ... The sherry stood in the nose ... Slight smoke note on the finish ...

Strong Sherry ... Rather sharp in the finish ... Even slight smoke signals on the palate ... Gingerbread is noticeable, as well as a hint of vanilla ...

  15. KayMeertens scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

Quite spicy, but not in a sulphuric way. For that reason I prefer this one over the first release.
    • Nose
Orange, prune, cherry, mocha, cinnamon and a whiff of peat smoke.
    • Taste
Orange, prune, cranberry, leather, pepper, clove, cinnamon, mocha and peat.
    • Finish
Bramble, prune, pepper and mocha. In the long run dates stick around with some peat smoke in the background.

  16. Erik Elixir scored this whisky 84 points Connoisseur

N: bitter fruits - orange, brown sugar, a bit sharp, figs and spices
T: rose-hip, some tobacco, wood smoke, spices, dried fruits, cassis, old wood - dusty and floral
F: syrup, floral and sweet spices/herbs and later pepper

  17. SilentStill scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

Solid and by no means one-dimensional Islay malt with sufficient power.
    • Nose
Freshly varnished wood, a touch of furniture polish and well-fried potatoes, a little later notes of rumrose. Overall, quite dry and with memories of forest soil in dry September.
    • Taste
More raisin on the palate than rum, vigorously gripping with clear sherry notes this time. Well integrated not only the alcohol but also the recurring wood notes. At the back there is also a hint of smoke
    • Finish
      Medium long sherry-wood mixture

    undisclosed Bunnahabhain

    • Nose
First of: not very intense, but nice balance of masculine/earthy/dark sherry, dried raisins & plums, dark wood, and...ketchup ? (slight sour/fruity/vinegar-y note in the back). (85)
A bit later: turning sweeter & softer, wood turns younger/fresher & more noticeable, quite a few vanilla & butterscotch notes now, somewhat buttery, a hint of rubber, pleasant, but not what I was expecting (84)
    • Taste
dark, bitter/sour/tannic sherry, very nice intensity & focus (88)
    • Finish
nice warmth, mellowing out with sweeter dried raisins & plum notes, also some chocolate, oh... and laurel leaves. (86)
