Cotton candy, chocolate, butter and some floral notes. At 57.1 ABV, the phenols are a bit strong on the nose so water is recommended to pick up the fruitier and floral notes.
Alcohol really overtakes the palate. After adding a bit of water, fresh green apple comes through with some caramel, butter, oak cask and floral notes.
Longer if you don't add water. The addition of water shortens up the finish a bit but in a good way. Dark chocolate and more oak notes cling to the palate. A peppery spice lingers and there was an unpleasant bitterness at the very end. Water makes this one a player but I just can't enjoy it neat.
