Honey, buttery, spicy, some smoke, vanilla
Oily, creamy, lemons, honey, vanilla
Medium long, peppery, bitter
- Overall, I might describe this as relatively boring. It was difficult to decipher over the 10 months of tasting but more often than not it was relatively bland and uninteresting
Buttery with mild lemon, herbal honey, malt, and some slight vanilla.
The nose translates to the palate. A soft delivery of buttery honey lemon, like a lemon sweet that is not overly sweet. There is some mild vanilla and nondescript spice. I find the flavours very integrated and difficult to differentiate.
Spice reemerges significantly on the palate. There is a nice tannic grip that lingers and mellows into a pleasing bitterness.
- Wonderfully matured whisky. this is a rarity at this price point these days. a fine and well developed whisky. this is the kind of thing we anorak's are looking for! similar dram: balblair 2002. Fantastic!
barley, floral, white ripe fruits, and a hint of developing melon
beautiful balance between barley sugars, pear, grape, peach, and citrus lemon, lemon celo. and wonderfully sweet and salty in the initial development. develops strong with two waves. there is no searching for the whisky here. it presents itself front and centre
medium to long, ripe fruits and lemon fading slowly to floral tea, bitter lemon and lemon rind, and briney note appears
