Whisky Reviews for Caperdonich 1994 SV
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 81.67 points
- I get lemon in the body. If you have not tasted as many Caperdonachs, or simply have concern over the distillery, which is no longer, then it is possible that it certainly may not be as appreciated, as other drams. A bit of water or oxidation may be in order before the final vote. The citrusy notes may be too much for those not into it. This can be mistaken for ABV, but it is high ABV neat. The citrusy honey flavor lingers when you add water. This was the output from 1994; not comparable to earlier Caperdonachs, but still above average liquid.

A nice and very malty whisky. A touch heavy on alcohol.
Very malty, and a touch of hard candy ( butterscotch and caramel mainly). An abundance of vanilla, and a lot of pears with a touch of pineapple juice. Very nice I think there is a lot more but it is hard to place. ( 23/25).
Very sweet, the butterscotch and caramel shines through. In addition to that an abundance of malt profile. I wish I could say the fruits came through more, but this really is grain and candy, (and alcohol). ( 20/25)
Lots of malt, quite an abundance of malt, and a bit strong on alcohol. ( 19/25)
