- Sure, on a vacation night in a nice pub actually tastes every whisky. I like this manochmore with its lightness and sweetness. The pineapple note comes out nice and I like it. A beautiful, light Speysider!

Fruity and mild. Then - perfectly fitting - floral and floral. A very delicate vanilla sweetness is added. Malt in the background, then spicier.
Pleasantly mild. The 43% are well chosen, but 46% would have been tolerated. This leaves a mild sweetness with apples (not too sour), which is even more pronounced on the finish. The spice from the nose holds back.
Sweet again, definitely pineapple. This also fits the slightly sour impression (for me, pineapple has always a pronounced acidic note). It remains light and flowery, with some oak / tannins added.
A delicate, fresh, fragrant and well balanced whisky with aroma’s of soft malt, grains, redcurrant, hay, caramel, fresh backed cake, subtle toffee, icing sugar, red apples, pear drops, caramelized pineapple, hint to laurel, aniseed, hint of cumin seeds, hint of mint and floral tones (roses and some honeysuckle).
A light, fresh, a bit flat but balanced whisky with aroma’s of malt, cereals, white pepper, stem ginger, floral tones (honeysuckle), lime, grass, a hint of mint, caramel, acacia honey, pineapple, apricot, apple, pear, vanilla and a subtle tone of licorice root.
A medium long and slightly drying finish with aroma’s of subtle citrus, soft oak, mild tannins, cereals and a hint of almonds.
It’s quite a surprising and satisfying dram. Nothing really stands out and nothing offending either. It’s a well balanced dram with a charmingly light character. in my opinion a single malt that can introduce someone into the wondrous world of whisky.
- Mannochomore 12 yo (43%, Flora and Fauna) Straw. Nose: strats on bold notes of linseed oil, even motor oil, developing on a little parsley and mint. Very interesting. Mouth: nice moutfeel, more on caramelk and cereals, the whole being quite satisfying and very drinkable. 80 points.http://www.whiskyfun.com/archiveseptember06-1.html#020906
