Whisky Reviews for Glen Elgin 1990 McC
7 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 87.13 points
- A successful profile faithful to the spirit of the distillery and which also enjoys a remarkable price-quality ratio.
Melted and a bit discreet about fruit from the orchard, a little honey, malt, a nice choice of spices, some more vegetal fragrances and a creamy sensation.
Mouth powerful and lining with a slightly waxy matter (hive?); fruity notes (pears, peaches) highlighted with some heather honey and orange zest; then a spicy wave (pepper of kerala, cinnamon) a little tempered by a vegetable freshness (mint) a bittersweet.
Medium to long finish, well spiced and marked by the return of bitter oranges.
- Nose on yellow fruits (pear, peach).
Mouth sweet, fruity, slightly sweet.
The final is against against all odds, quite acid.
