  1. vlad78 scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

Thick, velvety tones of sherry: silk, cherry, raisins, lacquer.
    • Nose
      91 91
Distinct barrel influence: lacquer: oak, tea leaves, plum jam, dried tea rose, dried grapes.
    • Taste
      90 90
Dried grapes, plum jelly, oak bitterness, like the bitterness of tea leaves. Such a bittersweet taste.
    • Finish
      90 90
Tart, sweet, like you've eaten a grape with part of the vine, rather short.

  3. Schollus scored this whisky 91 points Expert Senior

Nose: sweet chestnuts, milk chocolate, milk foam
Palate: Sticky, lovage, clear oak influence, herbs, forest honey, chocolaty
Finish: bitter, tannins, lots of wood

  4. Calmar scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

A very dry and austere whisky, a fairly varied palette of derivatives and depth is present, but the composition is quite simple, nevertheless, on the whole, a very solid and balanced release, a good density for the minimum 40%, but in general there is already a feeling of some fatigue.
    • Nose
Open, dry, first nose - leather goods and berry sweetness; dusty wood, earthy notes, pu-erh, dusty dried fruits, old leather, pipe tobacco, burnt jam, homemade candy, dried mushrooms.
    • Taste
Dense, rich, a lot of old wood - solid wood furniture, cigar box; dried fruits, burnt caramel, cola, sour coffee, dry earthy notes, old leather goods, tobacco.
    • Finish
Spicy, refreshing, caramel-oak with dry earthy notes, pueo, tobacco, coffee, cola.

  5. DGV scored this whisky 92 points Expert Junior

Working with this sample is similar to going to a historical museum. All along the way, one can feel the presence of something old, something that is no longer being done. Maximum spicy, dusty, dry. It is quite difficult to give an accurate flavor-aroma description, since it does not convey exactly the sensations experienced during tasting. You have to try these "things" yourself.
    • Nose
Warm, open. A mixture of herbs and spices, among which licorice, cinnamon and black pepper stand out. Dried berries. The dry scent of an old wooden cabinet, dusty books forgotten on the shelves, bound in leather. After breathing, hints of nuts, earth and milk chocolate appear.
    • Taste
Dry, delicately woody, spices and dry berries.
    • Finish
Medium duration, is a logical continuation of the flavor, with the same dryness, spice and berry tones.

  6. yfalkov scored this whisky 90 points Expert Senior

It's obviously sherry, no idea how many years it was finished but it's very rich and not overwhelming. First surprise is how fresh it is, no trace of mold and dustiness typical for old bottles. Incredibly intense, thick and dense for 40°
