Well worth it!
What a shame today's Connemara doesn't taste like this (at all) anymore!
If they can make such high quality whiskey, I don't understand the product they make nowadays.
It's still OK, don't get me wrong. But why make an OK whiskey, if you're able to make something as brilliant as this??

Not a lot going on. Alcohol, oak, some peat and lots of vanilla. Pleasant never the less.
-
Oak, iodine (in a pleasant way), salt, , appel, citrus, peper, something sweet (like ice cream), clove, and not too much peat to overshadow it all.
Thin and watery in the mouth, but rich in flavors.
Very well balanced, nice old school whiskey. I love it!
A little more age and depth to this 14 years old whiskey would have made it close to perfection. -
It ends like it began, but without the alcohol that is quite prominent in the nose.
Old oak, some peat, the vanilla flavor of a (very good) bourbon cask and and a happy feeling is what's left.
