Smoother than The Famous Grouse standard bottling, but no more impressive. Even with the 12 Year Old whiskies in here, it doesn’t seem to enhance the overall experience very much compared to the standard bottling. I’m giving it one extra point over the standard, simply due to its smoothness, which is the only improvement I could perceive from the standard bottling. Not worth the additional $14.00 over the standard at the local stores.
Baked bread, slight smoke, a bit of vanilla and spice.
Very muted toffee and vanilla, with cereal and malt.
Very quick, a bit of smoke not unlike Highland Park 12 Year Old, but much quicker. This whisky disappears quickly off the palate once swallowed.
