Whisky Reviews for Tomatin 1994 CA

Rather sherry nose, very much oloroso. There is also a Garam Masala and other dark spices note to it. Little touch of wood. Seems to have been a good cask.
If you wait a while, there is a strawberry, raisin, cherry note coming in. With water there are more and more spices coming up and there is a hardy note appearing.
Very warming spices, loads of sherry influence, little ginger, reminds me a bit of glu-wine spices.
Full and rounded
Long length. There is a burst of red fruit, overtaken by a very pleasing sweet-sour note and a touch of tannins. The wood influence becomes more and more clear in the aftertaste.
Bought at €70,- it is quite a steal, in 2017. There were quite a few casks like this around in 2013 though.
Don't know only got a sample bottle from a bottleshare.
