Whisky Reviews for Ledaig 1994 McC

2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 86.47 points

  1. Ostap scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

Excellent whisky. The mild aroma, with slow development, continues with a distinct taste and pleasant aftertaste. Good job.
    • Nose
Yeast does not start, fusel, mineral, closed, chemical. The traditional assertiveness of Ledaig is absent here, quiet, calm, background aroma. Sour candies, peat, iodine, sea stones, lemon peel, green grapes, sheep wool, new plastic, rubber, lemon jam, peanuts in sugar glaze, sugar glaze , millet porridge on toasted lard, vanilla.
    • Taste
Assertive, tasty, honey, lemon sherbet, salty rubber, burnt notes, roasted walnuts, pepper, smoked fish, sea note, a little bitter.
    • Finish
Warms, prolongs the taste, honey and lemon, long, sour, sea character, sweet vanilla gum, unobtrusive bitterness, oak.

  2. Calmar scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

A very pleasant, perfectly balanced mole with various accents in the aroma / taste / finish, absolutely non-spirituous, very drinkable, the only one that slightly spoiled the general impression - the potato-vegetable notes in the fragrance, but overall very good.
    • Nose
Citrus-dried fruit, boiled sugar, cooled oatmeal, lacquer-turpentine colors, chopped vegetables, fresh cut potatoes, lemon in tea, after a while in the background, rubber appears - gently and unobtrusively. As a whole it is not spirituous.
    • Taste
Wood, sweetness and salt, like eating dried dried fruits, then a blast of pepper - black and red, bitter bark, peels of oranges and lemons. He is very rich and energetic.
    • Finish
Spices - black pepper, lemon peel, in the background soft oak, tea with lemon - long enough.
