A creamy, sweet peat at first, with grapefruit and a hint of green apple.
Faint dry grass note and warm pastry.
    • Taste
      87 87
The attack is really creamy, the fruits that the nose hinted at are hear, the grapefruit is on the sweet side with faint lemon.
It is pleasant enough, but rather mundane to be honest, not very exciting but good enough, especially after a period of time in the glass as some nice lemon sherbet comes out
    • Finish
      88 88
The finish is the best part as the cream on the palate translates to a silky, warming fade out

N- Not a peat-greed, the smokes are rather refine and smoothly integrated to the complex, yet superbly clean aromas. Lemon citrus, white raisin, banana creme caramel, oily fish with ash and tar, some vanilla, bready and last but not least, juicy pomelo emerge at the tail.

P- Panna cotta, milky custard alike.., Frizzy strength of peat are there to pleased again, tangy with musky notes, tarry and citrus-y. Just may be likely overrun on sweetness, but all good.

F- Medium, peppery sweet and spicy, some darker flavour of spices starts to emerge with smokes walnut, cocoa as well more lemon essence. Lack some much anticipated brine notes on this one.

Original Tasting Notes:On the nose is an immediate wall of peat, stacked beach-side with clean fresh sea.salty air in abundance. Sweet on the palate initially, it moves through different phases of vanilla, phenol, tannins and gristy quality to some late soft chewed leather - rplicated on the finish plus a little extra pepperiness, with distinct iodine, and tarry character.( F )
