Peat, matches, sulfur, dried fruit, balsamic vinegar, menthol ... a dry, dirty, smoky sherry whisky with lots of oak. Great stuff.

Strong sherry influence, although very peculiar - there is almost no sweetness, it is dry, a search for bitterness, not sufficiently diverse as a whole, the aroma is the most interesting - it is very rich and bright; With water, the aroma is immediately lost, but the taste / finish on the contrary - open, the excessive concentration disappears, but somehow many nuances are lost, so you can try, but the result can disappoint you.
    • Nose
Open, dry, noble wood, furniture varnish, shoe cream, furniture polish, solvent, kvasnoe wort, a little resin and pine needles, industrial textiles, wax, a little peat and smoky notes
    • Taste
Saturated, oily, oak, burnt crackers, earth notes, pu er, resin, furniture varnish, soft peppery wave, bitter cortex, ginger, dry herbs.
    • Finish
Light, warming, varnish-woody, pu er, resin, burnt biscuits, ginger.

  5. ErzWhisky scored this whisky 92 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
wonderful, aromatic scent; sweetish sherry; Orange; spices; Rosen; raisins
    • Taste
first sweet then seasoning with wood notes; Dates with oranges
    • Finish
again beautiful spices; Sweetish, then very slight bitterness from the wood; long with barrel flavors

Delicious - has become one of my favorites.

    Top whisky.
    • Nose
Sherry right from the beginning. A lot of dried, rather dark / red, fruit.

Slight nuances of smoke, a little algae on a sandy beach. Hardly alcoholic.

With a few drops of water:
The whisky clearly gains in aroma, opens up a great deal and the smoke is more prominent, as well as the slightly algige - the fruits are sweeter, especially if one waits for a moment.
    • Taste
Clear on the tongue, light smoke, some sea salt. Quick take over the rich fruits.

With a few drops of water:
The whisky is fruity, the flavors come even stronger. Now a little more smoke.
    • Finish
medium-long, fruity and light smoke remains.

With a few drops of water:
Slightly less oily, but about the same length - more smoke is left hanging.

  8. Cicero did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

    very delicious
    also a top whisky
    • Nose
a lot, lots of sherry, the whole range of dark and dried fruits
      Sea and wet beach
      lovely "dirty"
the 56% Alk you hardly notice
      is there smoke? Yes? No?

      with water:
      the malt is clearly on
more fruits, more sea, much more harmonious
    • Taste
      strong start
Salt, sea and again a hint of smoke
      Ashes from an extinct campfire
      many dark fruits

      with water:
in taste he wins with a few drops clearly
the individual flavors much better without the whisky losing its flavor
