Definitely a very good old and fruity Springbank that feels a bit dusty but there is still enough complexity to make it great. very good!

Tropical fruits, pineapple, mango, honey comb, old books, whiffs of solvent, hints of oak wood, spices, cooked oranges, jam - very good!
    • Taste

Oily, creamy, sirupy, subtle sweetness, very fruity, more cooked fruits, oranges, mango, little apricot, jam, spices, little pepper, little ginger, fine old oak wood - great!
    • Finish

Medium long, warm, spicy, zesty, little more tannic but not drying

A bit of incense and shaved wood initially, followed by a mildly caustic nose. After the initial uncertainty, however, the quality starts to show. Classy sherry, with some old school fruitiness along with a bit of sour components. Grapes, elderberry, milk chocolate, latte. Quite lovely. After a few minutes in glass, my mouth starts to water.

Lovely old sherry. Wow, just so smooth, so creamy. There's definitely some spices here (pepper, cloves, and cinnamon) and polished oak, along with leather. Overall balance is commendable, partly due to the lower ABV. But because of the lower ABV, this isn't too exciting. Just delicious. And I'll take that any day.

It does become more oaky at the finish, but the quality is still high.

Fruity, yellow fruits, some exotic fruits, sherry, sweet spices, toffee, very good
