Whisky Reviews for Caperdonich 1992 vW
5 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 84.56 points
- The value of this bottle is dated on an auction side, you pay a little bit € 170
- A rather immature malt, but with typical Caper notes, absolute fans can access if you get it for the original price, otherwise you would prefer almost all the other capers.
Light honey, white fruits, grapefruit, pineapple, light malt, sweet honey in between, toffee and light grapes, a bit flat
Lemon, green apple, wasabi, white pepper, in between some light herbal honey, vanilla, pear, cinnamon, light toffee, grapes, tangerines
Light malt, green apple, lemon zest, white tea and white pepper, only medium in length
- Quite supprised by this dram, I think van Wees normally isn't known for their high quality releases. This is definitely a good dram. And a caperdonich for this price... Well it's not the high quality of the 72's that is for sure.
White fruits, green apple, little citrus which after some time become more expressive. Sweet honey and a little bitterness in the back.
Malty and fruits, green apple, indeed like Erik mentions mandarins. Little honey and pepper
Pepper, fruity, mid long finish. Sweet mouth coating, a tad hot / chilli pepper?

citrus, caramel and honey like Dailuaine
honey and fresh fruits - mandarins and green apple
medium drying with tea, creamy, spices and later like after shave (offnote)
- Fruity, malty nose, a bit of vanilla. The same in the mouth, with a citrus twang. Overall good starters whisky. Not too hard on any note. Small pepper in the finish. Nice price for a 19yo Caper.
