Fresh bread out of the oven. Walkers salted vinegar crisps. Medicinal bittersweet honey, eucalyptus oil, fennel and sage.
    • Taste
      85 85
Parsley like vegetation. Rich yet soft and mellow, sweet kick. Sort of peat like smoke or is that the coastal salt. A tad bit more oil than the 14, as other say its not as good as the OB 14.
    • Finish
      86 86
Medium to short finish. Dried out canned bread. Cozonac cake - Sweet, fruity, malty, has some rum like feel, sorta of a rum baba.
Charred orange peel, salted and sugared.

"It's not as good as a standard 14yo. It just isn't. There's a really the little touch in the background of some kind of hot spirit going on there. Just a touch. Little burn in the finish which is not particularly welcome."

Great whisky, I could easily continue drinking this. One to purchase, for sure.
    • Nose
Light honey, burnt toast, damp wood.
    • Taste
Rich luxurious sherry hit with a sweet aftertaste.
    • Finish
Medium sherry finish, rich fruit cake.

A pleasant and well done dram.
    84 + / 85-
    • Nose
a little mineral, on the green apple, the acidulous candy, the earth, iodized notes. the sherry is discreet
    • Taste
Slightly creamy, on apple tatin, sour candy, toffee, honey and iodine. Traces of dried fruits
    • Finish
well peppery and a little salty, wax. Good magnitude for 46%

The Sherry is very clean, caramel, with also an iodized side, the dilution brings honey. The dry, very salty mouth delivers the traditional Clynelish wax well, with honey and sea water coming out even more. There are also spices and black pepper. Not very complex but good and atypical. Long finish on salt and wax.

Pleasant and complex. A nice mixture of sherry fruitiness and maritime component.
    • Nose
Ripe apples, pears and oranges. Apricots, raisins and honey. Sweet and full. Behind it all milk chocolate, malt, hazelnuts and salty sea air. The salty association becomes stronger over time. A pleasantly complex nose.
    • Taste
Silky soft and oily, while salty and sweet-and-malty. Nuts, again oranges and apricots, dark chocolate and some oak.
    • Finish
Mitellang and dry, dark chocolate, orange zest. Again saltiness.
