Whisky Reviews for Pittyvaich 1979 DT

3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 83.40 points

  1. Elric scored this whisky 91 points Expert Senior

Sweet fruits, autumn apples red and green, a hint of honey

If you like honest Whisky, like the old times, straight from the cask.... this will be one for ya !

  2. Ahab scored this whisky 78 points Member Senior

Smell: stinging, glue, marzipan, apple compote

Taste: alcoholic hot, apple, bitter herbs, pencil

    Resonance: sharp, fruity-bitter medium-long finish

Conclusion: A closed very simply textured whisky, which unfortunately is very characterized by alcoholic sharpness, as well as a present bitter note that I do not like at all. Positive was still the nose, after alcohol and glue had settled a bit, with beautiful notes of marzipan and apple compote.

  3. Sonett scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

with water it shortens off and dries but also increases the taste of apples
    • Nose
Nose of Xante pear cognac with vanilla. A tendency towards green apples, herbs and hay
    • Taste
Light and elegant taste of pears, vanilla and apple
    • Finish
long fading finish without surprises. Everything from the taste is there.
