...yes, the price is outrageous! This is a fine dram (no doubt) with an excellent nose and a delicate taste but it owns a rather weak finish, too. Sorry Jim, but this never ever will make it into my top 100 whiskies - and as a drinker I am not willing to spend more than 200 Eurobucks on a bottle of such quality...

The colour is tawny and the nose offers a excellent old-school bourbon-sherry mixed profile without any off-notes. It is very complex and perfectly balanced, I really like to sniff this for hours.

The taste is delicate fruity and reminds me a little bit of the fruitiness of late-sixties Bowmore (without the peaty elements, of course). No, it is not on eye-level with these legendary drams but still very fine. No flaw that I can find. Water is not needed as it just flattens the dram.

The initial mouthfeel is warming and charming but with just a minor coating (creamy) feeling. The finish is rather short, unfortunately and adds no new impressions. There is a minor drying ending (papers) - this finish is significantly weaker than both the nose and taste.
