So this is rumored to be Bunnahabhain. I find Bunnahabhain to be enjoyable of the ones I've tasted. Let's see how this tastes.

Nose is figs, chocolate and Diet Coke. Leather and pepper appear with Christmas spices followed by some light oak.

Palate is silky sweet with barley sugars and milk chocolate followed by cinnamon to warm it up. Campfire smoke starts to appear with a richness.

Finish incorporates the nose and palate together for a very nice and rich dessert dram.

This is a great dram after a meal, sweet and rich to finish out a meal. Heavy sherried Bunna tends to make a for a great dram as the quality of Bunnahabhain always seems to shine through... likely due to the fact that it's very well produced spirit. Seek out some independent bottlers for whats hiding behind the standard Single Malt and likely encounter a surprise or three.
    • Nose
      87 87
The nose is Coca Cola with old tires and sweet sherry cake. A crowd pleasing dram that will knock your socks off with sherry. Hints of erasers and soft peat bring herbal notes and worked leather.
    • Taste
      86 86
The palate is sweet, subtle smoke and sweet sherry swim with the malt. Coffee, caramel and heavy machine oil as it fills your mouth.
    • Finish
      87 87
The finish is longer, sherry dominated with gorgeous wood influences. Tar and cherry cough syrup meet a twist of mint and more soft peat as it fades through sweetness.

Nose:Egg yolk. Meaty sherry. With the expected dried fruits. Sultanas plums and prunes. A lovely mélange of sweet and meaty notes, in this heavily sherried nose.
Palate : starting spicy with pepper and cinnamon then drier than I thought it would be. Coffee. Dark chocolate. Earthy, with the dried fruit supporting all this dryness with their sweetness. Full bodied and mouth Coating. Sherry but not too sweet, don’t you worry.
Finish : Hot & Spicy with Spices galore and dried sultanas and chocolate.

    A lovely Bunnahabhain.

It's hard to hate a heavily sherried Bunny!
    • Nose
Big, beefy sherry.  Strong figs and sultanas.  Dark baking chocolate.  Wood furniture polish.  Demerara sugar.
    • Taste
Sweet and dry.  Oloroso sherry.  Espresso beans.  More dark chocolate.  Dried dark fruits (prunes, dates).  Fresh herbs.
    • Finish
Spicy and peppery (black pepper, cinnamon, cloves).  Sweet sherry fades to dark raisins, then faint licorice.  After a while, remnants of a fresh Cohiba.
