Whisky Reviews for Bruichladdich 21-year-old
4 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 89.59 points
- First time I try this whisky. A good cask and a good aging period gave a wonderful drink!
Candied plum jam. Walnut jam and black tea.
Taste sweet candy prunes in chocolate. A thick drink.
Sweet long-lasting pleasant aftertaste.
- Sulfur bomb! Oxidization does help (still working on this one) so I imagine this one needing more time to appreciate ...
Updated comment: originally scored a 76 but after oxidizing for 3 months, have upgraded score to a 79, not enough for a B-
- "This Bruichladdich 21yo is a very dark, intensely sweet and sherried
affair, thanks to full-term maturation in Oloroso Sherry butts. Very
big and fruity, with more than a hint of sulphur."
