From the bottle and the spread of the drop on the hand, such a typical Islay stink goes. However, it is quite different from the glass and I have to say with surprise that I have not felt this "peat" yet. It goes somewhat strange to some gas and green, I think.
The taste of the first good? I was a little scared, but Christ, it's not bad at all! Maybe in the style of Caol Ila, definitely on a pleasantly sweet to honey background. At the same time, I smell some fish or something, soot, coffee (and how!) And perhaps capers and green olives. In the taste a lot of pepper, really a lot (Talisker can go burying), but with the sweetness goes beautifully together and complement each other. The strength of alcohol is not so much known, respectively. it doesn't bother much.
The finish is very spicy, pleasantly hot and lasts quite a long time.
I was a little worried that I would regret buying this bottle at auction once. God, how foolish I was. I feel like pouring another glass and it doesn't happen so often to me ...
