Europe, it is a different story. Very nice and utterly quaffable bourbon.
The nose is rather closed and needs quite some hand warmth, but once it
opens up, I get nice overtones of tropical fruits. Coconut and pineapple in the
lead. Caramel, honey, vanilla ice cream, mint and cinnamon make this a round
and inviting nose. A truckload of milk chocolate emerges after a few minutes.
The oak and the rye are whispering.
It is slightly oily on the palate, with honey to emerge first. Followed
by citrus and vanilla. Midpalate, the rye rears its head: cinnamon and cloves.
Quite a bit of mint, again. The oak now mumbles.
The finish is deliciously sweet and spicy and becomes somewhat drying.
The mint and the oak sing.
