    batch 17!
    • Nose
      bois un peu détrempé
      caramel un peu cuit
raisins secs, autres fruits confits et macérés
      un peu de chocolat noir!
    • Taste

Beautiful batch - a powerful, rich, a lot of oak, but successfully entered into the overall picture, a complex and multifaceted flavor, a relatively dry taste / aftertaste with kvasno-beer motifs against the background of sherry components, very good.
    • Nose
Soft, calm, dried fruits, freshly processed wood, shavings from Kokhinor pencils, stain, sweetened grapes, raisins, dates, some earthy notes and mold, dried mushrooms, very dense and varied.
    • Taste
Thick, spicy-oak, fairly dry, peppery wave, creamy notes, concentrated milk, very little burnt sugar, rye bread rusks, kvass concentrate, dark beer.
    • Finish
Spicy, pepper-oak, stout, cinnamon, cardamom, coriander, nutmeg, a little raisins and dried apricots in the background, fondant, light acidity - lemon in tea, red currant, kiwi.

Did this old batch h2h with a newer one, #58. The differences are pretty immense...
The nose of #17 way fresh fruitier and sweet/floral, where ripe fruits and prunes dominate #58.
In body the same, #17 has more light red fruits then #58, with the darker and ripe fruits.
The finish of #58 has more power left, with same ripe fruits, less bitterness then #17.
Batch #17 definately way more attractive, beautiful dram, only finish scores a little lower because of the bitter notes that take over a little bit too much.

Very fruity, sweet. Berries, some candy-like sweetness, very floral as well. Caramel and milkchocolate. No trace of pickering alcohol.
      Really lovely nose.
    • Taste
      90 90
Very powerful, full bodied. Intense fruitiness, berries, chocolate. Some autumn-like influences. thick structure.
    • Finish
      88 88
Now way more smoother, still full, sweet and fruity, but now more bitterness, wood clearly. Pretty long.

The best batch Ive had to date (Batch 30 is coming next month, and I can't wait). Would not recommend it to new drinkers as its 60% ABV, however if you want more hair, this is the one!
    • Nose
A lot more calm than the other 2 (56 and 49) releases I had, very dry fruit, wooden stain, rasins, dirty notes to it as well. Very fresh and clean.
    • Taste
Very thick, oakiness, pepper, sugar (burnt a little maybe?), creamy, chamomile tea? IPA taste in there as well.
    • Finish
HEAVY CINNAMON! dried fruit comes back, shorter than the other batches, however still in your mouth for a while, kiwi and pineapple.

    • Finish
8,4 Dobrej długości, ciepły z nutami wiśni ze szczyptą wanilii, białego pieprzu oraz soli.

I Love the power of Aberlour! It has great taste of sherry and fruits.

This also is a powerful scotch so I don`t recommend it to new whisky

users. It is good to gain a palate that recognizes the difference

between cask strength and some that are less ABV like 40% or 43%.
