scbp-5363, the overall simplicity, the barrels are relatively fresh, there are many pine flavors, the wine is still full of the characteristics of big cats, it is still delicious.
    • Nose
      89 89
Pine resin, mint, cooling, coconut milk, green malic acid, fermented barley. In addition, there are ripe pineapples, cane-style fructose, some fishy, oily, and overall sweet. 89
    • Taste
      90 90
Soft and glutinous, simple and concise flavor presentation, fermented acidity, impactful pineapple, lime and fructose, a little powdery nutty touch. Rich and strong, sweet and sour, with good fat and thickness. A touch of peat, lime, mint, ash bitterness on the finish. p91b89
    • Finish
      88 88
Ash, citrus bitter, slightly astringent. 88

Nose: Heavier smoke than "1977 RMS 56.1%", ham, and ham's grease, metal rust, dog's paw, umami, dust, vegetable market taste, obvious dirty.

Drink: Nine points of body, warm, dirty, mineral, oily, savory, citrus, juice, rich, fusion and expressive. superb!

Overall: More smoky, rougher, wilder, and dirtier than "1977 RMS 56.1%". I like it better too!

Improved immensely with some oxygen in the bottle. Better than many of the 30y special releases. Pure Brora!

Simply amazing. For its age this Brora is yet the best one I tried (out of 5 Brora's I tasted). I was surprised that it has beaten Brora 9th Release - 30yo in my own rating). It has all the characterstics we love Brora for.

I can drink this kind of whisky anytime, anywhere - the best for me in everything. In my humble record, one of the best I've drunk.

Very typical Brora on the nose, more on the fruity side on the palate - very good overall
    • Nose
      92 92
Intense, fruity, citrusy, little vanilla, minerals, whiffs of smoke, seabreeze, iodine, little honey - very good!

Punchy, oily, waxy, subtle sweetness, fruity, spicy, peppery, ginger, vanilla, little oak wood, yellow fruits - still good

Peaty waxy fruity herbal punchy and elegant, a brilliant whisky

  15. checkpointuk scored this whisky 94 points Connoisseur Color: pale gold / dark straw Nose: wax, leather, peat and a salty spiciness with rich fruit flavors of mango and peach. Maritime hints and damp straw complement the leading flavors and draw a great overall picture in the nose! Taste: Salty-spicy-powerful! Starting with full fruit: lime, papaya, mango and peach! In addition, vanilla and peaty smoke, dull and dry with old cardboard box and soft ash. Now the honey-rich fruit sweetness is spiced up with fresh mint and it gets a bit more peppery towards the finish. Finish: Long and still with decent power! The fruity taste components are now peaty and accompanied with smoky almond / vanilla flavors. Absolutely delicious and with a fantastic balance! Comment: Thanks Gunnar Nilsson for this delicious drop! 94 points N: 92P / G: 94P / F: 95P
