Whisky Reviews for Cambus 1963 HH
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 89.33 points
Slow and fat tears in the glass. It takes a long time to open up before the typical bourbon character comes to the surface. Soft, sweet and creamy vanilla. Deeper down some old oak, perhaps due to the fact the bottle was half full (or empty) for some time.
Good shot of pepper and spiciness. Lots of oak but not that flat anymore. The palate changes from spicy and sweet to old oak and a malt - yeast almost nutty aftertaste. Also a nice touch of orange in between.
Good medium finish, half dry and oak with some stale smoke.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Vanilla and white chocolate, porridge oats, cinnamon and fruit.
Palate: Spiced oak, honey and nectarine. Zesty citrus and pepper.
Finish: Vanilla and butterscotch.
