TASTING NOTE LMDW: Color: orange copper. Nose: rich, opulent. Malted barley is first restored in a splendid way. He then takes oriental paces (loukoum, rose petals) before returning to more classicism. Autumnal (lichen, mushrooms), precious (sandalwood, incense), floral (honeysuckle), spice (black pepper, caraway) and fruity (cherry with brandy). Palate: fine, racy. Malted barley remains the medium on which fruits (pear, mandarin) and spices (cinnamon, ginger) can express themselves fully. Evolves on honey and flowers (linden, mint) and dried fruits (apricot, date). She shows a lot of sweetness and generosity. Finale: creamy, balanced. Its exoticism (mango, passion fruit) and its menthol freshness transcend the mouth. Some black fruits (cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry) add an Irish touch to this powerful single malt. Cut grass and notes of undergrowth greet a sherry discreetly omnipresent.
