The nose is wonderfully ripe and round. In the mouth, the taste buds ride roller coaster. Unfortunately, the finish has a few flaws that lead to devaluations in the overall result. Nevertheless, a beautiful, old, mature and round malt a unfortunately long past distillery.
    • Nose
Cream caramel, tonka beans, foam bananas, weetabix, yellow fruits (apricots, quince, mirabelle plums), lemon, sweet oranges, candied pineapple, grapes, green malt, honey cake, some mint and light oak.
    • Taste
Creamy at the beginning with sweet fudge, malt and light acidity of citrus fruits. Then sharpening, ginger, lemon, white pepper, green bananas, cereal, medium tannins and unripe grapes. Drying off to the end.
    • Finish
Long, comforting warming, slightly soapy, slightly sour, spicy oak and light milk coffee.

    Glenugie 20y 1984/2004, 50%, DL OMC, cask 1320, 201 bottles - Highland - 90/100
Since Glenugie closed its doors in 1983, we are dealing with a misprint here. Either the chaste team did well in 1984. Soit, it is whisky from 1983. Sturdy nose with lots of fruit. In your face fruit. In your face fruit ?? It is quite a powerful nose, the fruit pushes its way through your nasal cavity, I mean that. Especially white fruit. Juicy pear. Sweet too. And a bit spicy. But then the 'herbal' type of spiciness. Herbal tea. Unfortunately, Dutch does not make the distinction between 'herbal' and 'spicy' spiciness. The spicy variant is then again in the taste. Especially at the end a lot of pepper. Of course also a lot of (sweet) fruit here. Pretty long, fruity aftertaste. Feast! http://onversneden.com/2009/06/11/fulldram-supertasting/

uncommon...wakes up after a few seconds in the mouth - only to fell asleep after another few seconds
    • Nose
      Fruity, citrus, less malt, grass
    • Taste
at the beginning very light-bodied, then it becomes more heavy and developes Malt, toasted bread, some floral and lemon notes, after some seconds it looses all aroms
    • Finish
      Malt, Smoke, toasted bread, long
