Starts great on the nose with intense and fully loaded notes of stewed fruits and sweetness. It doesn't have the typical HP punch but is very well balanced on the palate and dangerously drinkable. Excellent!

Intense, fruity, honey comb, cooked oranges, jam, also some dried fruits, prunes, figs, also some red fruits, hints of vanilla, caramel, whiffs of oak wood - after a while more herbs and like wild acacia honey - great!

"... Once again, we proudly present a unique specialty, which was bottled specifically for the Hotel Waldhaus and its largest WhiskyBar in the world, which can already be considered an absolute rarity.
It is a 22-year-old Highland Park Original Destillerie bottling, created especially for us and made into a perfect creation by combining different barrels, including older barrels. The fact that the distillery makes Highland Park a bottling for a private customer is a rare exception. For this reason, this is a special honor for us to be able to present and bring you closer to this specialty. Highland Park is the northernmost distillery in Scotland and is located south of Kirkwall, the capital of the island of Orkney. The whisky of this beautiful distillery is undoubtedly one of the largest malts in Scotland. Its round and harmonious, as well as interesting character, it owes, among other things, the peat, the salty sea air and the sweet heather, which is used in drying. The origin of the distillery in 1795 by the founding of David Robinson, but officially by the current owners of the founding year 1798 specified. The harmonious and perfect marriage of the chosen barrels make the Highland Park 22y one of the most balanced special bottlings. A touch of honey flower, roasted nuts, mocha, and a variety of dried fruit notes accompany the salty sea traces and the fine appeal of Orkney peat. In terms of taste, it is simply an unforgettable experience that no gourmet palate can miss!
The bottling will also make every collector's heart beat faster. It is limited to 250 bottles! ... "(Source: wow)
